Lacy Love...

Don't you often wish you had more time in the day? Or even more energy to do it? Well, that's me this week.. loaded down with work again, but I'm not complaining, I love it! I just feel a bit like I'm running around like a blue-arse-fly and getting nowhere fast. Lol.
I've a pile of commissions to finish for tomorrow if I can, so that they can be posted off, and then all the write ups to do to! That's the bit that takes the longest, sourcing all the information to put on with the shopping lists.. sigh..

I haven't even had time to delve into my new Docrafts Demo kit for this next loop. It arrived last weekend and I opened it, flicked through and popped it all back in the box. Same with the SU kit.. It is still sat there waiting for me to play!
On a better note - do you have the new Creativity magasine that is due out anytime now. It officially goes on sale May 1st, but I know that there are many places which are already selling it. If you do, don't forget to check out the Parchment Workshop and projects that are in it, made exclusively by moi. I am quite chuffed they looked so nice and I really enjoyed making them.

Here's a couple of sneek peeks for you to be going on with..

And as a thank you for visiting.. here's a completed card.

Right.. I'm off to get some work done now.. Have fun everyone!

And don't forget.. if you are looking for stamping supplies, take a look at the SU catalogue. Don't forget you can order directly from me and the delivery comes straight to your door. The stamps are the same quality as Penny Black or Magenta, for a fraction of the cost. They work out around £2 a stamp! Brilliant! And there are so many different ones available.

Also, Stampin’ Up! offers products in five basic colour families. Colour-coordinating is a breeze with these handy assortments! So if you're not sure about your colours and how to put them together, this could be just the thing for you!

A lovely award

Thank you Emma for this lovely award.. who actually said that I never cease to amaze her.. lol.. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not - even though I never cease to amaze myself sometimes too! But thank you Emma, it's lovely.

Now it does say that I have to give it to 10 people.. so I'll have a think about this and let you know! The thing is... I have soooooo many favourites, it would be hard to give it to so few.. but I'll add my list later.

LOTV Challenge card

It's time for another challenge over at the Lili of the Valley Challenge blog.

The challenge this week was to use a sketch, created by myself, and make your card to match.

This was my card and also a close up.
I'm not feeling right today, I was poorly yesterday and up all last night with a migraine.. sitting in the bathroom.. you know how it is! So today, I'm shattered and feeling quite delicate.. me? delicate? Ha! But I did need to come on and get this photograph uploaded for the challenge.

I decided to use my lovely Basic Grey Wassail papers and nesties which I got from Once Upon a Stamp when I had a drive there last week - a great little shop with a fantastic variety of nesties. I also used the Impressabilities, which I picked up at the same time,  for the background on the little square. I then inked this up lightly with Blush Rose Chalk inks.

The stamp is from the Stampin Up set Fun and Fast notes and coloured with stampin up pastels. I've added a little 3D gloss onto the cup to give it a shine.

I hope you like it.

Hot stuff...

Well.. I'm feeling the heat today, and I have stuff to show you... what about you? I like the nice weather but too hot is not good for me.. haha. Anyway, I have been out with the pupsters this morning in the garden taking a few photographs of all the lovely flowers that are coming out.

Isn't this blossom lovely against the blue sky?
Another picture of (I think) a bergenia. This plant has been in my garden for years, and this year has flowered for the first time! So say 'hello little flowers'.. lol.

Now, as I had a bit of spare time yesterday - not much! - I decided to use some lovely new Basic Grey papers and take part in Kathy's Sketch Challenge. I love these sketches, they are so pretty. I used a Gorjuss girl which the lovely Marcea stamped for me to have a play.. and yep.. I thinkies I need them!

Here's a close up of the stamped image.

I coloured it with copic markers and highlighted a few areas with a white gel pen.

There's also a new project over on my other blog HERE, if you'd like to take a peek and leave a comment or two, that would be lovely!

A new little something...

Look!

We got ourself a new passion woofer wagon.. lol..

Did you also notice the private number plate? hehe.. Nope.. we haven't got one really, I just had a little play in photoshop.

I'm loving the car, although I haven't driven it. It's really comfy, very stylish, and is perfect for Holly, Scoobs and Truly. It's a Volvo V40, which looks absolutely clean and luvverly ..... and it's got light wipers! How cool!!

Now all I need to do is to get my little Atoz cleaned up and it'll be back to normal - it's been the dog carrier since the other car was written off last year.

Lili's lovelies..

I don't know how many of you tuned in to Create and Craft the other day to watch the Lili of the Valley show, but I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it! Laila and Lisa are two very lovely ladies who always try to bring out beautiful papers etc. These ones I've used on these cards I want to show you today are using the new decoupage papers, which are only available at the moment through Create and Craft.

Anyways, here are some of the samples I made for the show....

This one used two colours of the papers and I layered the two tone decoupage topper. The edges were cut with the Docrafts fancy punches which came out last year, and then I inked the edges with chalk inks.

This one's pretty straightforward..

With this one I used a green ink pad to add a little grass to the bottom and then created some stalks with the papers, topped off with a fancy little topper.
I just absolutely love this shade of purple.. complemented with a bit of silver and finished with a button and a ribbon! The shape was created with my lovely Eazi box board
This one was made with the Eazi box board too. I am loving these triangle shapes!

That's a fair share of samples fo ryou for today me thinks.. I've been doing a couple of challenge cards today, and I'm just waiting for them to dry off before I photograph them - so hopefully tomorrow I'll have more to share.

So, until next time.. xxx

Friday 17 April 2009

so... what've I been upto?

Well... I'll tell you... I have just become a Stampin' Up demonstrator  -  YAY!

I have had the phone call and chat with a lovely lovely person - and got my demo number, placed my order for my kit and I'm just waiting for it to arrive so I can have a play!

So, if you'd like to have a workshop and earn some free goodies, just let me know.. have sat nav, will travel! I'm just in the process of sorting out a seperate bloggy or something for it, so my things don't get lost with all my other ramblings on here.. best keep them seperate me thinks!!

What else is new??

Well, LILI OF THE VALLEY have a show today over on Create and Craft at 11am, it's a live show so don't forget to tape it.. and I wish the lovely Lisa and Laila all the best for it - I'm sure Lisa said they were working with Nigel - he's such a doll.. love him to bits!! If you're really lucky - or unlucky! - you may just see a few of my cards on there.... the DT have been beavering away making a few samples for the show this week (hence the lack of posting on here.. lol) and I'll share my kaboodle with you when the show has finished. Can you wait that long? Of course you can.. !

I've also been making my projects as a designer for STAMPTIVITY and they got posted back at the beginning of the week - I'm still sorting them off the camera so I can crop them down a little, so will be able to show them to you too shortly. There will be step by step instructions too for them over on the website, I just need to finish getting them typed up and sent in..

Other than that, (!) I'm prepping for a demo tomorrow over in Norfolk - yikes! a 3 hour drive in the morning - so I'm a pretty busy bunny this week. I got my stuff from Craftime on Tuesday for this demo, so really need to get the samples knocked out and finished today. I will be at Bead This, Craft That in Dereham. What a lovely name for a shop don't you think?!

So, that's me all done.. I'm still blufing around the net, stopping by everyones blog in a hurry, so I've not had much time to post comments - I promise to be a better blogger this next week.. lol..

Till then, toodles.. xxx

I've gone and done something really brave today.... what did I do??

Thankyou Abi

Big hugs to Abi, who has given me this lovely award.

I have quite a few of them now, and have had a fidget around on my blog this morning and I'm going to show them proudly on my sidebar..

Thank you again Abi.. now who will I give it to?

Well, there are so many of you who make me smile, so apart from the lovely Mrs Wiseman, who even when I am feeling a little low, always manages to bring a smile to my face (I am awarding you this wholeheartedly!) I would like to give it to all the blog owners who appear on my favourites link.

There... done! xx

Does anyone want a challenge blog?

I've thought long and hard over this decision for the last few weeks, and now I've made a decision!

My beloved Forever Friends challenge blog is looking for a new mummy.. would you like this baby?

I have just got a few things on lately, and cannot give it my whole attention that I could before, so things are starting to get a bit tedious. I have offered this to the DT this evening, and also I'm offering it on here if anyone would like to take over.

It is a highly successful blog, with over 140 followers and regular contributors. I just think now is the time to let it go to someone who will cherish it for the second year.

So.. if you are interested, please let me know.. my email is on the sidebar, or you can leave a comment that doesn't go on line until I say so.. lol..

Samples galore..

I can now share a few of the samples I did for Debbi Moore for her show on Create and Craft. I missed it unfortunately, but I know some of you caught it... I don't know if you saw any of these, but I hope you did.

I didn't want to share them before, as it's not really fair., I'm sure you know what I mean.

This one was made by stamping versamark onto a glossy card and brayering over the top. Embossed floewrs cut and stuck on the front with DM gems to finish.
I made this one by curving the corner and covering the card with DM printables. DM printable flowers layered along the edges of the cards and a greeting to match.
I used the DM cd and printed the design onto vellums. I layered them up and finished with a couple of hearts.
Made totally from DM cd's.
Something a little more pretty  - made with DM stamps and images.
On this one I used DM flowers, which had been stamped with DM stamps.. the lady is from this range too.
My favourite card from the set. I used a DM stamp onto acetate and coloured with permanent markers. I stamped with DM stamps onto the mirror card and embossed with silver powders.
This is another of DM fab stamps - I love these ranges! I embossed with the DM embossing powders and then crackled it up to look a bit more antiquey.
Simple.. card for a man.
And another simple card to finish. Hope you like these  - it looks like I was going through a brown phase with those.. lol.

come on.... leggitt......

LOL.. this picture makes me laugh.. lol.. just a fun day out with my little furballs. Scooby and Holly love running after sticks, not that they're allowed most of the time - it is dangerous you know! lol

Britain's got talent.. again..

Well.. I sat and watched BGT this afternoon as we were a bit busy last night. Now, I am not too much of a tele-bug, but this program I do love.. last year we had our dear Danny on from along the road, and this year, although there isn't anyone I know on, I can't begin to explain how much I enjoyed this....

Now there's not many things that bring a tear to my eye when I watch anything, but my god, this one certainly did.. and I can't really explain why either! I think it was the passion with which she sang, and also the fact it was sooooo unexpected!

Another of my favourites is this.. Fabia Cerra

What a woman! I'm not just liking it because she had the nerve to do this, but because she had no inhibitions even though she's a cuddly lass! As a bit 'curvy' myself (!!) I still wouldn't have the nerve to do it.. so for all us big lasses the world over.. GO FABIA!!! You were great!

Which acts did you like??

My Lili card

Hi all again.. two posts in one day.. lol..

I'm back with my Lili card for this weeks challenge HERE

The fairy is one of the Lili prints and I took the three from the pack and layered them up slightly shorter each time - the edges were done with my copics.
The paper is DCWV, I absolutely love this pack.. full of blues, tangerines and pinks.. lush! The little flowers are Papermania die cuts which were out last year, but are still available I think. Letters are also Papermania and I covered them with glitter.
Here's a close up of the flower...

A few more Diamond samples

Here are a few more Diamond Card Craft samples for your delectation.. I hope you like them.

You can see more on the website too, just click on the above to be taken directly there..

This little Easter bunny basket was made using the octagon from the Box board.

Using the octagon again to make this little accordian type book.
What about a little collection of wedding favour boxes? Perfectly easy to make with the Eazi Box board - no trimming is required, the score lines for the folds - top and bottom  - are all there and ready for you.
Another quick and easy card using the papers and toppers from the new CD available from the website. The flower was made using the Eazi Score board.. very pretty card - love the colours on here.

Jiggered!

Hello everyone..

Why is it after a good nights sleep you end up feeling even more tired than before!! I've woken up this morning, not full of the joy of life, but wishing I could stop in bed for a few more hours.. but work beckons, lots of samples to finish off, more product arriving hopefully today for some more samples.

I will get around to making a card today to share, but things have just been a bit manic around here - I'm also planning a bit of a business venture and by all accounts, it's gonna be fab and save money for you crafters too!!! So, watch this space!

Saturday 4 April 2009

Have you seen it? Have you? Have you??

Well, I'm here at last and able to share some bits and pieces with you all.

As you will of course, all know by now, my premier showing of my debut (!) on Create and Craft is on tomorrow, so I thought I would give you all a sneak preview of what things you will be able to see on the new Diamond Card Craft shows that are coming up.. These products are all available also through the wonderful Diamond Card Craft website, as are a variety of other must-have products!

First, I'll show you the new book that is on the show..

This book is the perfect compliment for the Eazi Box and Eazi Score board. There are over 30 projects in it, and some are very special ones from yours truly!

There are also these stamps available - brand spanking new to Diamond Card Craft and let me tell you, they are stunning! These are on another show due out shortly.
Here are some samples for you.

And using these stunning little stamps - made exclusively to go with the Eazi Score board - you can create fantastic little projects like these... I hope you like them as much as Phyll and I do!
There is also a CD on offer - I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but you will see some items from it used tomorrow on the show - and here are some samples from that too.. The numbers on some of the cards are from the Eazi alphabet templates..
So don't forget the show SHAPED CARDS WITHOUT TEMPLATES.. and especially don't forget to let me know what you think..
Take care xx
